By Car

  • Private cars cannot enter Kamikochi at any time of year.
  • Private vehicles (including rental cars and motorcycles) are not allowed past the Kama Tunnel. Please park at Sawando Parking if coming from the Matsumoto side, or at Hirayu Akandana Parking if coming from the Takayama side, and take a shuttle bus or taxi from there.
  • From Kamikochi Bus Terminal, it is about a 10-minute walk to Kappa Bridge. Cross the bridge, and the hotel is about 30 seconds further on foot.
  • To help preserve the beauty and rich nature of Kamikochi, we ask for your understanding and cooperation with these traffic restrictions.
